STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT BLUE GROWTH BY IMPROVING MARITIME EDUCATION
FRAMEWORK OF MARITIME COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF MARITIME POLLUTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

B4S is a strategic partnership and cooperation project between maritime higher education institutions and stakeholders in the maritime sector, aiming to promote Blue Growth while supporting the prevention of marine pollution and environmental protection.

OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of the B4S Project is to increase environmental awareness among students, focusing particularly on preventing marine pollution and creating a cleaner and more sustainable natural environment. To achieve this goal, a special curriculum will be developed that includes courses and educational content addressing these issues. In addition, a digital e-campus will be created that will provide free access to educational materials for all stakeholders and provide a platform for sharing experiences and resources developed within the scope of the project.

In addition, international articles will be published by the project partners on topics such as environmental risk management, port management, sustainable development and the use of simulation software related to environmental issues. The project will also lead awareness campaigns aimed at increasing environmental safety and protection in the maritime sector.

Another important aim of the project is to establish a strategic partnership between maritime universities, building a bridge between the Baltic, Black and Mediterranean regions.

As part of the Blue4Seas initiative, the project also aims to teach software tools designed to prevent and manage marine pollution, such as PISCES II, GNOME and ADIOS. In addition, competitions will be organized among students to raise awareness of marine pollution and its effects on the environment.
